  • Wyn Achenbaum is a board member of the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation and the Henry George Institute. An active blogger, she is widely known in cyberspace as "lvtfan."

  • Bill Batt, our local host, is a retired university professor and later a tax policy researcher for the New York State Assembly.

  • Paul Bray is an attorney in private practice as well as a regular columnist for the Albany Times Union on matters of urban affairs. He is also an adjunct professor of law at Albany Law School and is a nationally recognized authority on public trust doctrine.

  • Bob Breglio is the Assessor for the Town of Broom in Schoharie County, New York. He has a Masters in Regional Planning, and has wide experience analyzing urban problems using GIS and other statistical methods. He is an instructor in GIS at SUNY/Albany.

  • Ray Bromley is a professor of Geography and Planning, formerly chairman of its Department, and is now the Vice Provost for International Education at SUNY/Albany.

  • Polly Cleveland is Adjunct Professor of Environmental Economics at the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs. She is also Executive Director of the Association for Georgist Studies. Her work has focussed on the economics of wealth distribution.

  • Lindy Davies is Program Director of the Henry George Institute, and publishes the Georgist Journal. A fencing enthusiast, "point-counterpoint" comes naturally to him.

  • Ed Dodson, current President of the CGO, retired in 2005 as a market analysis and business manager for Fannie Mae. He now teaches political economy at the Henry George School and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Temple University in Philadelphia.

  • Jim Dunne is an economist and Director of the Policy Unit of the New York State Office of Real Property Services.

  • Kris Feder is Associate Professor of Economics at Bard College and Program Director of the Economics and Environmental Policy Program.

  • Jeff Freedman is Senior Research Scientist at the renewable energy firm AWS Truewind, based in Albany. He has a law degree as well as a doctorate in Atmospheric Sciences.

  • Mason Gaffney is a widely-published professor of economics at the University of California, Riverside. His most recent book is After the Crash: Designing a Depression-Free Economy.

  • Ted Gwartney is Town Assessor of Greenwich, Connecticut, and Vice President of the CGO.

  • Alanna Hartzok is President of Earth Rights Institute, a Vice president of the International Union for Land Value Taxation, and author of The Earth Belongs to Everyone.

  • Cay Hehner is Education Director of the Henry George School of Social Science in New York City and has taught languages and economics in Berlin, Milan, Rome and New York.

  • Gil Herman is a longtime Georgist educator, the current President of the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation and a founding member of the Henry George Institute.

  • Erich Jacoby-Hawkins of the Barrie (Ontario Canada) Green Party has always been interested in social justice, a fair economy, and the sound environment that both depend on.

  • John Kuchta is a Board member of the Henry George School of Chicago and a popular instructor there; professionally is he is an instructor at Westwood College.

  • Chuck Metalitz is president of the Henry George School of Chicago and an independent municipal planning consultant.

  • John Polimeni is a professor of economics in Albany, and specializes in the economics of energy policy, health policy, and ecological economics.

  • Dan Sullivan is a long-time community activist and is the Director the Pittsburgh-based Saving Communities organization.

  • Nic Tideman is Professor of Economics at the University of Virginia Blacksburg and a former member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors.

  • Joshua Vincent is Public Policy Director the the Henry George Foundation of America and the Center for the Study of Economics based in Philadelphia.
